Emagold is offering bona fide customers of any of the thirteen members of the group the opportunity to experience the ultimate jewellery production experience.

Two members of the group, Cookson Precious Metals and Domino are opening their doors in Birmingham's Jewellery Quarter to provide select groups of jewellery retailers with a unique opportunity to view the entire jewellery-making process from alloying to assaying.

The first event will take place on 22nd October, 2008 with subsequent visits planned for February and March 2009.

The Programme includes

• gold being smelted and processed into wrought and semi-finished products for jewellery manufacture
• the very latest in computer-aided design and rapid manufacturing processes
  lost wax casting
• the traditional craft skills of mould cutting
• diamond mounting
• diamond setting
• the finishing process
• a tour round Birmingham Assay Office to see hallmarking in action
  

Places are strictly limited to fifteen participants per event and places will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
